Day Kimball Healthcare Invites Women to Have Fun, Get Screened at "Stop and Pink" Breast Health Event, October 24
October 14, 2015
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) is inviting area women to “Stop and Pink” about their own breast health during a Breast Health Event at the Day Kimball Healthcare Center in Plainfield on Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event, hosted by DKH’s Cancer Care Program, is designed so that women can stop in and take just a few moments out of their busy weekend to do something fun for themselves and something good for their health.
The event will feature displays about breast health and nutrition, resources to help women know when and how to schedule a mammogram, a ladies-only raffle, activities for kids, and on-site low- or no-cost mammograms for women who qualify. Women who are interested in having a mammogram done at the event must reserve an appointment in advance by calling DKH’s Oncology Nurse Navigator at (860) 963-3848.
The raffle is set to feature a variety of prizes generously donated by area businesses including: Baker's Dozen, Body Balance Massage, Day Break Diner, Gus's Plainfield Pizzarama, Massage by Kim, New York Pizza, O'Neill Theaters in Lisbon, Portraits by Karleen, Walmart and Waves Hair Styles.
