History
The Day Kimball Hospital Deary Memorial Five-Mile Race & Walk began in 1989 and has raised more than $1 million to assist the citizens of Northeastern Connecticut who are battling cancer. The money has been given to assist with mammograms, ultrasounds, medications, travel and surgical procedures. In addition to helping to provide these services, money is donated to a scholarship fund for students who are pursuing a career in radiology.
