Care in a Heartbeat: Signs of Progress
Care in a Heartbeat: Signs of Progress
The Townsend Emergency Medical Center is Now Complete
Thanks to the strong support of the Northeast Connecticut community, your community hospital is providing "care in a heartbeat" better than ever before. This state-of-the-art facility is a stunning example of what this community can accomplish.
Our Care in a Heartbeat capital campaign launched in late 2011 and raised more than $3 million in just 10 months. Gifts ranging from two dollars to $500,000 came from a wide variety of individuals, businesses and organizations who share our commitment to ensuring high quality health care in Northeast Connecticut.
The spacious and modern Townsend Emergency Medical Center now provides enhanced safety, privacy and efficiency for the 30,000 emergency visits made to Day Kimball Hospital each year.
