Giving
Day Kimball has been an integral part of the health, caring and community of Northeast Connecticut since 1894, touching the lives of generations through medical care with the personal caring that only a small community hospital and healthcare network can provide. Day Kimball was founded through donations from the community and we are so thankful that that tradition of giving continues in our community today. Be sure to read some of our inspiring DKH Donor Stories below.
Please consider these ways to support Day Kimball Healthcare and the health of our communities:
Give Now | Cash Donation
The easiest and most popular way to benefit your favorite charitable organization is through a cash donation. When you itemize deductions on your income tax return, your charitable gift provides an immediate, tax-saving charitable deduction, and your prompt action allows us to meet Day Kimball Healthcare’s most pressing needs.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts are usually deferred, meaning they are arranged now and fulfilled later. There are several different types of planned gifts - all are wonderful way to leave a meaningful legacy in support of a cause that's close to your heart.
Gifts of Stock, Securities and Property
Gifts of stocks or other securities such as bonds or mutual fund shares held for more than one year are deductible at full, present fair market value, with no tax on the appreciation. Gifts of tangible property, if we can use it for a purpose related to our exempt function, is also deductible at current fair market value up to 30% of your adjusted gross income, with no tax on the appreciation.
Volunteer
Volunteering at Day Kimball Hospital provides the opportunity to help your community hospital and your neighbors, and also to gain work experience in a professional environment.
Sponsor an Event
If you are looking to leverage your company brand in the community, consider sponsoring a Day Kimball Healthcare event. Throughout the year, Day Kimball Healthcare hosts some of the region’s most popular events, which bring the community together while helping to support the continued delivery of high quality healthcare for all, and medical financial assistance to those in need.
