Liza Greene Named Employee of the Month at Day Kimball Healthcare

Liza Greene has been named employee of the month for February at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH). She serves in the position of housekeeper, primarily in the emergency department of Day Kimball hospital, which is part of the DKH integrated healthcare system.

“Liza is well liked and respected,” said Tony Westbrook, housekeeping manager, Day Kimball Hospital. “She does a wonderful job, especially considering the fast-paced, busy environment that exists in our emergency department.”

In the housekeeping position, Greene is responsible for total patient room cleaning while following established hospital procedures. Duties include moving equipment and furniture for relocation, cleaning and rearrangement; trash removal (including hazardous/medical waste) and recycling; cleaning of carts/equipment and notifying management of equipment needing repair; and securing of necessary supplies.

“I feel so honored!” stated Greene when asked how she felt about being named DKH employee of the month. “I had my own cleaning service for 14 years and then found my calling at Day Kimball Hospital. Knowing that I make a difference everyday is what I like most about my position. I try to act as a patient advocate and absolutely love being part of the emergency department family team.”

Greene has been employed by DKH for four years. She grew up in Putnam, where she lives today with her daughter, Illyssa.
