An Activity Program for Those Affected by Alzheimer’s & Dementia

The Memory Lane Cafe is designed to help provide stimulation and socialization to individuals with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, as well as respite time for their caregivers. Participants will have a chance for socialization in planned group activities that are both intellectually and physically stimulating.

What types of activities are offered? 

The program offers a combination of group social activities, cognitive and physical exercises. We also have a monthly calendar of events and we bring local community events into our safe environment for your loved ones to participate in. 

Current and past events include: 

Diane Cook - massage therapy, Silver Circle - art therapy, We Got Rhythm - husband and wife tap dancing, Judi Jones - hoop dance performance, John Banker - singer and piano player, Putnam Public Library, Mary Morse – accordionist, Dr. Ed Morin - music history presentations, Pet Partners - pet therapy, Sparrow Soaps - soap making discussion, The Barber Shop Quartet, local storytellers and other performances and presentations including student musicians, origami and more. 

When is the program open? 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

What are the fees? 

$40 per day  
Senior Resources Agency on Aging may be able to provide financial assistance, please call for more information.
