Since northeast Connecticut has a particularly high percentage of residents who smoke, it has a correspondingly high incidence of pulmonary disease. To respond to this need, we’ve developed a first-rate pulmonary medicine program that includes inpatient and outpatient respiratory therapy and an outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program. A referral from your primary care practitioner (PCP) is required for all pulmonary medicine services.
Our board certified pulmonary specialists provide expert inpatient and outpatient consultation, diagnosis and treatment of virtually all lung diseases including:
- asthma and asthmatic bronchitis
- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema
- interstitial lung disease (a large category of disorders, most of which cause progressive scarring of lung tissue)
- lung cancer
- sleep related breathing disorders such as sleep apnea
A multi-phase Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is offered at Day Kimball Hospital as well.
Billing and Payment Information
Billing for pulmonary medicine physican services will be submitted to your insurance by Day Kimball Medical Group.
