Our speech/language pathologists provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, treatment and therapeutic interventions for patients with oral and/or communication challenges. Through a variety of techniques and treatments, including augmentative or alternative communication techniques and a host of other state-of-the-art services, our highly-qualified therapists help patients of all ages overcome speech, language and oral motor challenges. Ask your physician for a referral to DKH speech/langauge pathology services. Services are available on an inpatient, outpatient or in-home basis, depending on your particular needs and treatment plan.
Speech/language pathology may be used to treat conditions such as:
- oral motor disorders
- problems with speech articulation
- learning/language differences
- difficulty with written language
- problems with voice regulation and fluency
- feeding/swallowing disorders, including evaluation of swallowing difficulties via modified barium swallow tests performed in conjunction with our Diagnostic Imaging Department
Billing and Payment Information
Billing for speech/language pathology services delivered at a Day Kimball Healthcare location will come from Day Kimball Hospital. Billing for services provided at home will come from Day Kimball HomeCare. Please check with your insurance carrier for details about your specific coverage, copays, deductibles and any prior authorization requirements.
