Day Kimball Healthcare’s Plainfield Healthcare Center to Host Open House of New Building

PUTNAM, CONN – The Plainfield Healthcare Center’s newest building at 12 Lathrop Road will be open for a public tour on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon. Tours will be guided by staff members and refreshments will be served. During this time, WINY 1350 AM will broadcast live on site.

This new, two-story, 27,500-square-foot medical facility is located on a beautifully landscaped, four-acre site. The first floor of the facility includes a Walk-In Center and an Adult Primary Care Center, each with nine exam rooms. Occupational Health services for businesses will also be on the first floor. A Women’s Health Center occupies the second floor and includes twelve exam rooms as well as diagnostic imaging and blood draw. Other consultative services will be available. Also included in the design are two meeting rooms, open for community use.

The existing Dow Road facility continues to offer pediatrics, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, internal medicine (Dr. Habashy) and physical medicine (physical, occupational and speech therapies). There are plans to renovate the building to expand capacity for these services.
