Day Kimball Hospital Woman’s Board to Host Valentine Tea Event

PUTNAM, CT – The Day Kimball Hospital Woman’s Board announces that the annual Valentine Tea event will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 starting at 11:30 a.m. at Wright’s Mill Farm located at 65 Creasey Road in Canterbury, Connecticut. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held on Sunday, February 13.

Guests of all ages will enjoy tea sandwiches, soup, desserts and tea. Popular at this event will be the Penny Social, Merchant’s and “Electrical Connection” tables, offering a huge variety of prizes for attendees to win. In addition there will also be a fashion show presented by Coco’s Cottage of Woodstock and The Trink-et Shoppe of Danielson.

Tickets purchased by January 20, 2011 are $20 per adult or $15 under age 13. In-person purchases and mailed reservations postmarked after January 20, 2011 cost $25 per adult and $18 under age 13. The Day Kimball Hospital Woman’s Board has been a fundraising group for Day Kimball Hospital for 116 years. Recently they committed to a multi-year pledge to raise $217,000 towards the purchase of state-of-the-art patient monitoring equipment for the Emergency Department. The monitors are portable to facilitate monitoring patients who do not yet have a room or need to be moved within the hospital.
