PUTNAM, CT – Day Kimball’s Physician Services of Northeast Connecticut announces that Dr. Jason Salter has joined Dr. Rania Baik and Dr. Charles Wreschner at Pomfret Street Family Medical Associates located at 235 Pomfret Street in Putnam, CT. This expands the family-medicine primary care practice to three physicians and nurse practitioner, Karen St. Jean.

Dr. Salter is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He sees patients of all ages and focuses on preventive medicine and nutrition. After receiving his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Salter recently completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in affiliation with Brown University.

Dr. Salter was attracted to Pomfret Street Family Medical Associates because of the personalized, comprehensive, community-based care the practice offers. He said, “Dr. Baik and Dr. Wreschner are excellent colleagues and I look forward to working with them. Their dedication to health care and progressive, evidence-based medicine and technology provide advanced care for our patients. I am truly excited to be a part of it.”

Dr. Baik spoke very highly of Dr. Salter saying that he is a very thorough, personable and caring person. Dr. Wreschner commented, “I feel that Jason brings good medicine to our practice, which is very important. He listens well and is methodical. Patients really like him.”

Originally from Colorado, Dr. Salter currently resides in Providence, RI with his wife and two sons. He enjoys cycling, cooking and spending time with his family.
