PUTNAM, CONNECTICUT – Day Kimball Healthcare announces that Sheena Farner, homecare billing coordinator, is Day Kimball’s September Employee of the Month.
“I could not think of anyone more deserving than Sheena for Employee of the Month,” said Leslie Hopcroft, manager of homecare billing. Hopcroft added, “She is a huge asset to our team and to our organization and I am extremely proud to work with her.”
Farner started working at Day Kimball HomeCare as the billing coordinator in 2008. Shortly after starting the job she was given the added responsibility of processing clinical payroll. In her role she frequently works with area nursing homes to ensure proper billing and payments are made for hospice patients requiring room and board.
“When I was told that I was selected as the Employee of the Month, I was speechless,” said Farner. She continued, “Employee of the Month is such an honored and respected award here at the hospital, since so many people are deserving of this award. I am extremely honored to have received this award and I thank all my fellow employees that encourage me and support me in my position. I have very high standards for myself and strive to be professional and respectful in my position here at Day Kimball. Day Kimball is a great place to work and it is a pleasure to come to work each day.”
Farner graduated from Woodstock Academy and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nichols College with a specialization in Marketing, Management, Economics and Criminal Justice. She is currently working on her MBA at Nichols College with specialization in Finance.
Farner is a member of the Economic Development Committee in Putnam and has done many fundraisers for local non-profit organizations. She also enjoys photography and has recently started her own portrait company, where she is able to use her artistic creativity.
Originally from Woodstock Valley, Farner currently resides in Putnam with her husband Timothy.
