Richard Cyr Named Employee of the Month at Day Kimball Healthcare
July 22, 2014
Richard Cyr, facility maintainer, has been named employee of the month for July at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH). “Rick strives to do the very best that he can in every project that he takes on,” said Greg Harubin, DKH director of facilities. “He is a self-driven individual who sincerely attempts to meet the needs of everyone we serve, no matter what is asked of him. His positive outlook and ‘can do’ approach is refreshing; Rick is an exemplary employee.”
As a facility maintainer, Cyr performs various maintenance, repair and installation tasks and completes work requests. He is responsible for assigned projects and responds to service calls, both of which require a wide range of skills, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, mechanics and building structure.
Cyr stated that what he likes most about his job are “the people I work with,” and said that he was “surprised and honored” when he learned that he was DKH’s July employee of the month.
Cyr joined DKH in June of 2011 as a Housekeeper II, and then transferred to his current position in February of this year. Prior to joining DKH, Cyr worked in the printing industry for over 30 years. He attended Worcester State College, and earned a Certificate in Building Property Trades from the Motoring Technical Trade Institute (MTTI) in Seekonk, MA. Cyr’s recreational interests include fishing and boating, and he has been recognized for his volunteer work in youth drug abuse programs.
A resident of Thompson, CT, Cyr and his wife, Debbie, have two sons, Craig and Jason.
