Rick Panczyk Named Employee of the Month at Day Kimball Healthcare

PUTNAM, CONN. – Rick Panczyk, desktop support technician II, has been named employee of the month for August at Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH).

“From the moment Rick joined our team to work on the IT (information technology) Help Desk, I noticed his great positive attitude, customer service focus and technical savvy,” said Odile Romanick, DKH chief information officer. “Rick consistently gives 100 percent to make sure that our customers are satisfied; he pitches in wherever necessary and whenever asked by management. He is a pleasure to work with and an asset to have as the front line of IT.”

Luanne Spooner, DKH administrative assistant to the chief financial officer, added: “He is the best – and I’m so happy to see that he’s being acknowledged as August Employee of the Month. From a ‘customer’s’ perspective, he is quite an asset to the IT team.”

Panczyk joined DKH in 2007. In his position as a desktop support technician II, he is responsible for repairing, replacing, configuring, and installing workstations, including desktop and laptop computers. Panczyk’s duties include installing network printers, and creating new user and email accounts. This position requires periods when Panczyk is “on-call” 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

“Surprised” by the recognition, Panczyk said that he takes great satisfaction when “I am able to improve user’s workflow to save time.”

Panczyk, who has earned Microsoft certifications in network administration and Windows server administration, resides in Dudley, Mass., with his wife Caitlyn, and two daughters, Emma and Olivia.
