Thompson Family Welcomes Northeast Connecticut’s First Baby of the New Year

PUTNAM, CONN – Day Kimball Hospital announces that the first baby of the year was born on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 8:01 p.m. Baby boy, Carter Albert Bergeron was delivered by Dr. David Yeager weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. to parents Jeremy Bergeron and Michelle Gaboury.

“We’re really excited and are looking forward to the adventure that is to come with our new son,” said Gaboury.

Being the first born baby in 2011, Carter’s parents were presented with gifts from Day Kimball Hospital and items donated from local businesses. Contributions included gift certificates, stuffed animals and a savings bond. Generous donors included the Day Kimball Hospital Woman’s Board Gift Shop, Midtown Fitness, Day Kimball HomeMakers, Putnam Bank and Wonderland Books.
