Thompson Resident Deborah Ann Cyr is Day Kimball’s August Employee of the Month

Deborah Ann Cyr, Payroll and Accounts Payable Manager, is Day Kimball’s August Employee of the Month.

PUTNAM, CONNECTICUT – Day Kimball Healthcare announces that Deborah Ann Cyr, payroll and accounts payable manager, is Day Kimball’s August Employee of the Month.

“Deb is very dedicated and driven, and is considered a role model at Day Kimball,” said Nancy Rivera, director of budget and decision support. Rivera continued, “She provides excellent customer service and is always willing to assist all employees throughout the organization. Deb’s ability to solve problems and her flexibility is an asset to our finance team, and makes her very deserving of this distinction.”

Cyr began her career at Day Kimball in 1989 as secretary for the CFO as well as accounts payable support. Eighteen years ago she transitioned into the payroll department and became manager of both payroll and accounts payable in 2009. In her role, she is responsible for the entire payroll function for Day Kimball Healthcare and Physician Services of Northeast Connecticut. She also manages the accounts payable function for both organizations and supervises two full time employees.

“Being recognized as Employee of the Month is really an honor,” said Cyr. She added, “This award means a lot to me, especially because I was nominated and elected by fellow co-workers. I would not be successful in my role without the exceptional teamwork within my department. From the first day I started working at Day Kimball more than 22 years ago, I felt a warm and friendly atmosphere and still today this remains true. Day Kimball is a great place to work.”

Cyr holds an Associate’s Degree in Science as an accounting major from Becker Junior College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration at Charter Oak State College.

Cyr was born at Day Kimball Hospital and is a lifelong resident of Thompson, where she currently resides with her husband Rick and youngest son Jason. Her oldest son Craig lives in Worcester.
