Woodstock Resident Louis Cerrone is Day Kimball Hospital’s January Employee of the Month

Louis Cerrone, operating room housekeeper in the surgical services department, is Day Kimball Hospital’s January Employee of the Month.

PUTNAM, CONN. – Day Kimball Healthcare announces that Louis Cerrone, operating room housekeeper in the surgical services department, is Day Kimball Hospital’s January Employee of the Month.

“I was very surprised to be the employee of the month,” said Cerrone. “I am honored and grateful that my colleagues recognize and appreciate the work that I do.”

Cerrone has worked at Day Kimball Hospital for the past seven years and is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing the operating rooms as well as restocking cleaning supplies. His colleagues note that he is very reliable, diligent and works well with everyone.

Prior to working at Day Kimball, Cerrone owned his own cleaning business and before that, held a position at
A&M Tool & Die Co. in Southbridge, Mass. Also, Cerrone served in the Army from 1972-1974 as a Combat Medic working at an army hospital in Texas assisting the medical staff in the treatment of burned soldiers.

Originally from New Haven, Conn., Cerrone currently lives in Woodstock with his wife and has two children. His hobbies include riding his motorcycle and traveling.
